Leaf Collection Schedule

 

Leaf collections start in April and again in late October. Please follow these simple rules:

·  LEAVES IN PLASTIC BAGS, preferably clear bags, will be collected from curbside.

·  Do not secure or tie the top of the bag. Untied bags can be emptied more quickly.

·  All your bagged leaves must be at curbside on Monday before 7:00 a.m. of your designated week. The truck will pick up only once sometime that week.

·  After the second collection period for your area, bagged or loose leaves must be brought to the Recycling Center (located on Church Road, East of No. Bay Avenue), between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

·  We encourage backyard leaf composting and the use of mulching lawn mowers.

2008 Fall Leaf Collection

***Leaf bags must be at curbside before 7:00 a.m. on the start date for your collection area.

Beginning the week of October 14th the Township will begin curbside pickup of bagged leaves. Leaves must be on the curb before 7:00 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week.
New regulation: Starting November 24th, keep all bagged leaves at the curb for an unscheduled extra collection. In the past we have been able to be in areas prior to the 2nd collection schedule. We will still be in your area on the 2nd scheduled collection week.

  • If your recycling day is Monday, collection will occur once during the week of October 14th and once during the week of November 24th.
  • If your recycling day is Tuesday, collection will occur once during the week of October 20th and once during the week of December 1st.
  • If your recycling day is Wednesday, collection will occur once during the week of October 27th and once during the week of December 8th.
  • If your recycling day is Thursday, collection will occur once during the week of November 3rd and once during the week of December 15th.
  • If your recycling day is Friday, collection will occur once during the week of November 10th and once during the week of December 22nd.

In the event that we are ahead of schedule, you may see leaf trucks in your area on an unscheduled week. Be assured that we will be back on your scheduled weeks.
