	Toms River Township Public Works is located at 1672 Church Road (corner of Church Road & North Bay Avenue), Toms River, NJ 08753. Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Telephone: 732-255-1000 Fax: 732-255-0608 E-mail: dpw@tomsrivertownship.com Toms River Township Recycling Convenience Center: Hours of operation: 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday The Recycling Convenience Center will be closed Sundays and most Township holidays. Township holidays are as follows: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Lincoln's Birthday, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Columbus Day, Election Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The Public Works Department is responsible for the collection of garbage, recycling and the maintenance of public roadways and storm drains. A fleet of trucks and equipment maintained at the Public Works garage enables us to provide these services. Public Works also has a Clean Community division funded through the State of New Jersey to help keep the roadsides clean. Township residents, showing proof of residency, may use the Toms River Township Recycling Convenience Center on Church Road to dispose of excess garbage and trash, deposit recyclable materials and obtain free wood chips and leaf mulch. The center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 pm., Monday through Saturday. Only vehicles less than 8,000 lbs. GVW and no larger than a pickup truck are permitted. Residents are allowed only one load/visit per day at our Recycling Convenience Center unless you are dropping off leaves, brush, tree trimmings or picking up mulch or wood chips. Other services include street sign installation, snow plowing, paving, leaf collection, brush collection, repair of Township bulkheads and emergency response within the Township of Toms River.
